Aerial Trapeze

Dance trapeze is a circus discipline that originated from static trapeze but what’s the difference?

Firstly, let us explain what a static trapeze is! This circus discipline is a steel bar hung from the ceiling by 2 ropes on either side of the bar. This piece of equipment requires strength and stability whilst you pull your body weight up to get onto and above the bar.

Dance trapeze is the exact same piece of equipment however the difference is the way in which we can move the bar. The two ropes on either side of the bar are attached to the ceiling together and put onto a swivel, this allows the equipment to spin.

So, a dance trapeze allows us to work statically whilst also giving us the option for more movement by spinning.
